These terms govern your use of the InvoiceInspect website and invoice checker ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What the Service does
InvoiceInspect reads a PDF invoice and checks it for calculation problems, such as line totals, subtotal, tax and grand total, and shows the results. It also uses AI to cross-check what was read and to explain findings in plain language.
The results are an automated second opinion. They are not professional advice.
Not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice
The Service does not give accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and a result is not an audit or a certification. A clean result does not prove that an invoice is correct, genuine or payable, and a flagged result does not prove it is wrong. Always compare the findings with the original document and apply your own judgement before paying or relying on an invoice. We do not verify that an invoice is real, that the sender is who they say, or that bank details are correct.
Accuracy
We work hard to be accurate, but reading documents is hard. Text may be misread, especially on scans, and AI output can be wrong. Where the Service cannot confirm a value it says "could not verify" and may ask you to confirm it. We do not guarantee that the Service will find every error or that every finding is correct.
Using the Service
You agree that you will:
- only upload documents you have the right to use;
- not upload anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
- not try to break, probe or overload the Service, bypass its limits, or access other people's data;
- not scrape the Service or use automated tools to submit documents beyond the limits of your plan;
- not copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
We may limit or block access if we think these rules are being broken.
Accounts
Guests can use the Service without an account, within the guest limits. Creating an account is optional. If you do, you must give a valid email address, keep your password secure and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity under your account. Verifying your email may be required before your plan's limits apply.
Plans and limits
Each plan has limits such as invoices per day, file size and pages per invoice. They are shown on the pricing page. We can change plans, limits and prices. Paid plans are arranged with us directly, and their payment terms are agreed before you are charged.
Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run the Service for you: reading them, checking them and showing you the results, including sending page images to an AI provider when AI features are used. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
Our content
The Service, its design, code, text and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights to them, other than the right to use the Service as described here.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, InvoiceInspect and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. This includes any payment made or withheld, or any error missed or wrongly reported, on the basis of a result. Where the law does not allow us to exclude liability, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, contact us. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we have to by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date shows when. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms. For significant changes we will give notice on the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of InvoiceInspect is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to use the courts where you live.
